Hi there, my name is Wendy,

I want to thank you for taking the first step, I know it can be a difficult to reach out, but please know you are not alone. I hope we can work together and to help you know if I’m the right counsellor for you, here is just a little about me. I’m a qualified psychodynamic counsellor, a wellbeing first aider and an online practitioner. I work in a warm, supportive and empathic way to help you develop better self awareness. For me it’s about working together in a safe space, without judgement and exploring the thoughts and emotions which may be preventing you from moving forward. Using this psychodynamic and wellbeing approach we can find the best way of helping you. If you are struggling with negative thoughts and emotions I know it can feel like an uphill struggle, but counselling really can help.

If you feel you would like to talk about what counselling can offer, please get in touch and I will come back to you. I have an office in Dunmow for face to face sessions and I work online through teams or Zoom. Please note all conversations, including initial contact, are private and confidential.

I’m a member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work within their recommended ethical guidelines. Sessions are normally weekly and last 50 minutes. Counselling fees will be advised on appointment.

Anxiety and Panic

If you are struggling with anxiety, feelings of being overwhelmed or experiencing panic attacks, counselling can help you find the inner strength and strategies to overcome these challenges.

Emotional/Relationship

If you find yourself grappling with emotional or relationship issues, we can work together to help you gain inner strength to work through and challenge negative thoughts and behaviours. I can also offer some guidance on practicing mindfulness, which can help you cultivate a sense of present-moment awareness and help with your sense of wellbeing.

Menopause

For those experiencing the physical and emotional ups and downs of menopause, through counselling you will find support and coping strategies to make this difficult transition smoother.

Stress

If you are struggling with being overwhelmed or coping with feelings of anger, you could be suffering from stress. Anger is normally the secondary emotion, a reaction to what is really going on. Counselling can help you find inner strength, mental tools and techniques to better manage and channel those emotions.

Mild Depression/Low Mood

If you find yourself feeling low, a little lost, or overwhelmed, I can guide you in exploring ways to a greater sense of self. Being heard is the first step. Counselling will help you move forward.
